What is not allowed

Do not post or send, anywhere on iMeetStand:

  • harassment, bullying and threats;
  • hate and slurs;
  • doxxing: sharing somebody’s private details, like an address or a number;
  • encouraging, instructing or glorifying self-harm or suicide. Telling people that you yourself are struggling is not a violation of anything, ever;
  • sexual or graphic content;
  • anything sexual involving a minor, which we report to the authorities;
  • spam, scams and advertising;
  • content you have no right to share;
  • impersonation;
  • anything illegal.

The terms are the binding version of this list: harassment, bullying and threats; hate and slurs; sexual or graphic content; spam, scams and advertising. The report sheet’s six reasons are the same list in the reporter’s words.

A few words are refused as you type

On shared surfaces - posts, chat, comments, captions, room names, shared titles and names - a short fixed list of slurs or hard profanity is refused the moment you try to send it. Your text stays in your composer, exactly as you typed it, and the refused text is never stored anywhere. Mild profanity is not on that list and is not refused.

To quote or mention one of those words - in a question about a lyric, say - mask it yourself: stars, or “the n-word”. Masking it yourself is the way to quote, and a masked word is never refused.

The refusal list last changed on 2026-08-30. Content written before the list existed was reviewed once against it, on 2026-09-01, and nothing was found.

Direct messages

Direct messages are not filtered: nothing you write to a friend is checked as you type. Every rule on this page still applies there. If a message breaks one, report it, and a person will read it.

Your own titles are yours

What only you can see is out of scope: your score titles, folder names and upload titles are never checked and never reportable while they are yours alone. A title is checked only at the moment you share it.

How to report, and how to block

Every post, reel, reel comment, room, direct message, question, answer and profile that somebody else made has a Report action, and a line in a chat has one beside it. Reporting asks what is wrong, takes a sentence, and sends. The reported thing disappears from the reporter’s own app at once.

Any person can be blocked from their meetie’s sheet. A block is an authorization boundary: neither account sees the other’s questions, answers, posts or presence, and neither can message the other.

Copyright infringement notices and counter-notifications use the separate copyright policy and its private queue. An ordinary administrator cannot inspect those records.

What happens to a report

A person reads every report. We aim to act within twenty-four hours of receiving the report. Nothing is removed automatically, by a count of reports or by anything else: there is no threshold, no count, and no automatic removal, so a coordinated set of reports cannot silence anybody by construction.

The reviewer decides one of six things, and each is recorded and never edited: dismiss the report; warn the person, removing nothing; remove the content; suspend the account; reinstate a suspended account; or erase the account, only ever through the erasure path.

Your identity as a reporter is not shown to the reviewer and is never shown to the person reported. You are not told the outcome of your report: a report is a private note to a reviewer, never a public signal.

The person whose content is actioned is told: a notice names the rule and the decision - never the reporter, and never the reported words - and says how to appeal, by writing to support@imeetstand.com.

If your real name is refused

The list that guards names is a little stricter than the one that guards posts, and a real surname can collide with it. If your own name cannot be used as typed, the name step says so and keeps what you typed; write to support@imeetstand.com saying it is your name, and we can grant it for your account.

What removal and suspension mean

Removing content deletes the row and its bytes; it is not recoverable.

Suspending an account refuses it new sign-ins and revokes its current sessions. A token already issued expires within an hour, and a realtime channel already open lives until it reconnects; that window is stated here rather than hidden.

A suspended account cannot sign in, and what it posted stays where it was until it is removed under these guidelines or the account is erased. Suspension is reversible by an administrator; erasure is not.

Disputes

Somebody who believes a decision was wrong writes to support@imeetstand.com, naming the content or account. An administrator re-reads the record and answers.

Records

Reports and actions are kept for as long as the service exists: they are the only record of what was said and what was done about it. They are not deleted when the account they were about is; a reporter who deletes their own account takes their reports with them. The privacy notice says so.

What this policy does not do

It does not scan content. Nothing reads messages, ink, or videos except a person acting on a report. No message text, and no other text of yours, is sent to any third party for moderation. GIF search is filtered at the provider’s strictest level, which is a filter on what can be found, not a scan of what was sent.
