Submitting a copyright notice
A copyright owner, or a person authorized to act for one, may ask iMeetStand to restrict material they believe infringes copyright. Identify the work, identify the specific iMeetStand material and where it appears, and provide enough information for us to locate it. A notice should also include your contact information, a good-faith statement, a statement under penalty of perjury that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act, and your physical or electronic signature.
Send a complete notice to copyright@imeetstand.com, to the designated agent’s mailing address below, or through the notice form at the end of this policy in the iMeetStand app, when it is open. Supporting files requested during follow-up are sent to that mailbox. This site does not accept evidence uploads.
What happens after a notice
We create a private case, review the notice and the identified material, and may ask for more information. If review supports action, we can restrict the specific material without initially deleting the preserved record. We prepare a notice for the affected uploader and record separately whether an operator actually sent it. Consequential restriction, restoration, strike and account decisions require human review.
A notice about an owner-only private score can be recorded and escalated to the owner or counsel. A reviewer cannot open, preview, download, or receive that private score.
Counter-notifications
An affected uploader may submit a counter-notification from their private case-status screen. It must identify the removed or restricted material and its former location, include contact information, and state under penalty of perjury that the uploader has a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled because of mistake or misidentification. It must include an electronic signature, consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States federal district court, and consent to accept service of process from the claimant or the claimant’s agent.
We prepare a copy for the original claimant. After an authorized operator records that it was actually sent, the case tracks the applicable 10 to 14 business-day window. Material may be restored following a valid counter-notification unless the claimant reports a qualifying court action, subject to applicable law and human review.
Repeat infringement
iMeetStand maintains and reasonably implements a repeat infringer policy. Only a reviewed and confirmed case creates a strike, and a person reviews every strike and enforcement decision. Repeated confirmed infringement is reviewed by a person and may end in suspension or termination of the account; no count does so automatically.
Accuracy matters
Knowingly making a material misrepresentation that material is infringing, or that it was restricted by mistake or misidentification, may have legal consequences, including liability for damages under 17 U.S.C. section 512(f).
